Walk the Arts in WECO is a juried Art and Fine Craft Festival held in conjunction with the 2022 PA Cigar Box Guitar Festival. Your work will be juried on originality, workmanship, and professional presentation. Jurors also consider total show composition (i.e. number of exhibitors per medium) All work displayed for sale in the show must be that of the artist and should be of the consistent, high caliber as indicated in your initially submitted images for jury. The artist must be present during show hours.

- You must submit a minimum of 4 digital images, 3 representing your work and 1 of your booth set-up.
- No printed photographs will be accepted for jury purposes.
- To maintain the integrity of the festival, all artists and fine crafters will be subjected to the same jury process.
- If selected, an email will be sent on how to submit payment for requested booth space. Payment received will serve as notice of your acceptance of participation in the 2022 Walk the Arts in Weco art and fine craft festival.
Refunds / Cancellation:
You must contact the Festival Coordinator at [email protected] by the deadlines listed below in order to confirm your cancellation and refund amount. Cancellation outside of the deadlines may result in not being invited back for future Walk the Arts in Weco art and fine craft festivals.

- Request for a full refund will be honored until August 1, 2022
- Requests for cancellation and refund for any reason by the artist/fine crafter after August 1, 2022 up until August 26, 2022 will be at 50% of the booth fee.
- Booth fees are non-refundable for cancellations and/or no-show on the day of the event.
- Cancellation by the 2022 Walk the Arts in Weco art and fine craft festival organizers will result in a full refund to the artist.
General festival information
- The Walk the Arts in WECO art and fine craft festival is an outdoor festival held in conjunction with the PA Cigar Box Guitar Festival. The show goes on - rain or shine!
- Applications due on or before August 1, 2022
- Accepted Artists and Fine Crafters notified on or before August 15, 2022.
- Booth fees and agreement form due on or before August 15, 2022.

- Electricity is not available. - QUIET generators will be permitted and must be placed behind the artist’s assigned booth space. The Walk the Arts in WECO art and fine craft festival organizer have the right to ask any participant to shut down a generator that is deemed to be of the non-quiet nature or interferes with the operating business of any other festival participant or WECO Business located in the 300 block of West Market Street.
- Propane tanks and other flammable materials are prohibited.
- The Walk the Arts in WECO art and fine craft festival is a family friendly event. This is an alcohol and drug free event.
- Portable public restrooms will be available as part of the festivities on the 300 block of West Market Street. Public restrooms are also available and located inside the Penn Street Market.
Booth requirements
Exhibitors will provide their own booth set-ups and should be prepared for summer weather conditions (sun, heat, and rain). It is preferred that tents are white.
- Displays must be sturdy, professional and tasteful.
- Tables must be covered on all four sides and as close to the ground as possible.
- Tents must be weighted to withstand gusty winds.
- Boxes and other materials must be stored out of sight.
- Tents and all display materials must fit within the requested booth space as designated on the artist’s/fine crafter’s application. Any display found to exceed these requested space dimensions will be subject to an additional fee and possible relocation at the discretion of the Walk the Arts in WECO festival coordinator.
- Artist’s/fine crafter’s provided booth tag must be clearly displayed for easy identification by the Walk the Arts in WECO staff and visitors to the festival.
- Tables must be covered on all four sides and as close to the ground as possible.
- Only mediums which have been approved through the festival jury process may be displayed. Artists/fine crafters must be juried in for each medium.
- NO BUY-SELL Objects, Commercial Prints, Multiple Prints or Multiple Casts permitted! NO EXCEPTIONS!
- All booths will be attended by the artist/fine crafter. Assistants may be present to assist will sales and to provide brief breaks to the artist/fine crafter. Walk the Arts in WECO volunteer staff will be available to booth-sit for artists/fine crafters for brief times, as needed.
- Artists/fine crafters will maintain a clean booth and orderly surrounding area during the show and leave the area clean at the end of the show.
- Non-compliance with requirements 1-5 will be grounds for dismissal from the current show and/or subject to censure in future WECO events.
Sales tax permit / liability insurance
- It is the responsibility for all participating artists and fine crafters exhibiting at the 2022 Walk the Arts in WECO art and fine craft festival to secure and make available upon request a valid PA Sales and Use Tax License.
- It is also the responsibility for all participating artists and fine crafters to carry their own liability insurance for their artwork, personal belongings, and any activity within their booth space. The liability insurance policy should include coverage for any damage and/or harm caused by any portion of a vendor's booth set-up. Any entity of WECO York PA, the of the City of York and the 2022 PA Cigar Box Guitar Festival are not liable for damages, losses or theft during the festival.
- Payment for requested booth space will serve both as acceptance of invitation to the 2022 Walk the Arts in WECO art and fine craft festival and agreement to the Sales Tax and Liability Insurance requirements.
registration / set-up & tear down information
- On Saturday, August 27, 2022, West Market Street will be closed from Penn Street to Newberry Street beginning at 7AM. Tents and items may not be set-up prior to the street closure at 7AM.
- Exhibitors should enter the 300 block of West Market street from the West (Penn Street) and exit to the vendor parking via the East (Newberry Street).
- All booths must be set-up and vehicles removed from the 300 block of West Market Street by 9AM.
- Vendor parking is available in the parking garage located behind the Suscom Building located at the beginning of the 200 block of West Philadelphia Street. When exiting to the festival block traveling East on West Market Street, continue on West Market Street and turn left onto S. Pershing Avenue. Take the next left onto West Philadelphia Street. Cross the Creek and the Suscom Building is on your right.
- Sidewalks must remain clear at ALL times during the set-up and festival hours.
- The festival will OPEN at 9:00 AM and your booth must remain staffed through 6:00 PM. The Cigar Box Guitar Festival will begin at 10:00AM and end at 6:00 PM.
- At the conclusion of the festival, booths should be packed up and items placed in the parking spaces on the east side of the 300 block of West Market Street. Vehicles with festival tags will be permitted to enter the 300 block beginning at 6:15 PM to promptly load vehicles. A vendor’s vehicle may not be parked on the 300 block of West Market Street while the vendor is still tearing down their booth set-up.
- Artists/fine crafters who break down their booths without due cause and without notifying the Walk the Arts in WECO Festival Coordinator prior to the festival ending time of 6:00 PM may not be invited to participate in future WECO events.
